Streetscape Asset Register and Condition Audit

Overview

SW19 are currently delivering the Streetscape Asset Register and Condition Audit on behalf of the City of Melville. The audit is required to conduct physical inspection and condition assessment of all streetscape assets, including kerbing and retaining walls, drainage infrastructure, street furniture and non-standard surfaces. SW19 were provided with ESRI shape files prior to commencement, although the client expected to locate an additional 1000 assets.

Site Inspection

The reporting format was tailored in line with the clients’ output and reporting, delivering the outputs in the required format enabling the client to simply integrate the findings within their systems to progress the works program.

Due to the extent of the site, SW19 developed a Geo-spatial mapping methodology to clearly identify assets and defects across the site, utilising an interactive map.  The mapping had the ability to use individual points, linear or polygons to highlight areas of specific works.  The client was also provided with an MS Excel spreadsheet to incorporate within their asset management system.

Outcomes

The client was provided with a complete asset list along with separate defect list with items requiring immediate / short term attention.  All assets were GPS positioned, detailed photographs taken and mapped.
