10 Year Maintenance Plan and Streetscape Inspection
Overview
SW19 were engaged by Metropolitan Cemeteries Board to complete 10-year maintenance plans for all cemeteries within metro WA, including Karrakatta and Fremantle. The project scope required the creation of asset registers, a capex replacement plan, formulation of an ongoing maintenance strategy and identification of defects.
Site Inspection
The inspection covered both the build assets and streetscapes, with drone inspections also completed to provide detail on the roof areas.
Due to the extent of the site, SW19 developed a Geo-spatial mapping methodology to clearly identify assets and defects across the site, utilising an interactive map. All assets with GPS located, photographed and assessed against an agreed criterion, which delivered a prioritised remediation program. The client was also provided with an MS Excel spreadsheet to incorporate within their asset management system.
Outcomes
The reporting provided detail regarding the location and type of defect observed allowing the client to prioritise remedial works. A full photographic record was provided.
